SkySuite is built by pilots who fly paid jobs on it, and by engineers who have been writing production software for more than twenty years. This is where we come from, and what we believe.

Where we learned to build

SkySuite didn't start with drones. It started with two people writing software for businesses that needed it to work every day.

  1. 2002 · San Diego, California

    Telecommunications

    John and Dean started a telecommunications company in San Diego in 2002. That's where we cut our teeth: VoIP, calling cards, hardware and business communications for San Diego companies. Phone systems teach you early that software has to work every time, because a business notices the one call that doesn't go through.

  2. Guatemala

    A programming company and its team

    Dean went on to build a programming company in Guatemala, with a major programming team. Building it meant working overseas, leading developers and delivering software for clients. Dean's company today is ComputeForge.

  3. Silicon Valley, California

    Startups in digital assets

    John worked at two Silicon Valley tech startups in digital assets, crypto and non-fungible tokens: products where the software holds real value and a mistake is expensive.

  4. American Axe Games, LLC

    Software that won the contracts

    John founded American Axe Games, an axe-throwing and events company. Its software solutions are what won the major contracts, including event work with one of the world's largest tech companies and a partnership with a major national financial group covering its high-end apartment complexes in the Bay Area.

    SkySuite

    Today SkySuite is made by a working Part 107 pilot and Vista UAV, a veteran-owned Texas drone company. We fly paid jobs on the software we write, so when something in the workflow is wrong, we find out on a jobsite, not in a support ticket.

Our own AI systems

Experienced engineers, amplified.

We build our own engineering tools. Looper, our in-house platform, runs our own custom AI and language-model systems against the SkySuite codebase. It plans the work, writes and reviews code, runs the test suites on every change and keeps a written record of each decision.

That is a long way from typing a prompt into a chat window. Looper gives an experienced team more reach. The judgement still comes from people who have shipped software for more than twenty years, and who fly the jobs SkySuite runs.

How we hold the line

Every change is tested.

SkySuite's services each carry their own automated test suites, and a change runs them before it is merged.

This website is tested too.

A test suite checks the copy on this site against the product. A claim about a feature we don't ship, an invented customer or a menu path that doesn't exist fails the build.

Then it flies.

Vista UAV runs paid customer work on SkySuite every week. That is the last test, and the one that matters most.

What we believe

Built by pilots. For pilots.

Made by a working Part 107 pilot and a veteran-owned crew that uses SkySuite on paid jobs. The field workflow sets the priorities.

Drone operators are field workers.

Field workers don't sit in front of a CRM all day. The tools have to come to them — voice notes, auto-text, booking links. Anything that requires sitting at a desk has already failed.

One platform, configurable per industry.

An adjuster does roof inspections. A GC does progress mapping. A photographer does listings. Same flight. Different deliverables. The platform should know.

The flight is not the product.

Buyers don't pay for a flight. They pay for an answer: how big is the stockpile, where's the leak, what does the listing look like. The platform should deliver answers, not files.

Pricing is system-managed.

We don't make customers reconcile payment-processor price IDs against their bookkeeping. Plans are defined in code; the payment processor is just the rail. No surprise SKUs.

Compliance is built in, not bolted on.

FAA logging, Remote ID, audit trails — these aren't features, they're prerequisites. We treat them that way.

We don't fake social proof.

Every testimonial and customer story on this site is from a named, real user who agreed to it. If we have none for a page, the page says nothing rather than filling the space. A test suite fails our build if placeholder copy reaches the site.
